Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Here is Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation that I've been using for the past 6 weeks or so. After trying out a sample of this I fell in love instantly had to have it in my life!

Described by Chanel........

''Its soft and evanescent ultra-fine fluid texture is a real surprise: although exceptionally delicate and light, it offers an incomparable “second-skin” perfecting result. The complexion appears amazingly even, freshand energised. The skin glows with seemingly nude beauty. As if lit from within. Bathed in light…
Its formula, enriched with a UVB sun filter and mineral sunscreen, protects the skin from damaging sun rays (SPF 15). Its crystalline fragrance accentuates the sensation of freshness and pleasure on application.

Use VITALUMIÈRE AQUA after your daily skincare, without a sponge or brush.
After shaking, its ultra-fine texture glides on under fingertips to instantly melt onto the skin. Applying foundation has never been this easy.''

I purchased it in shade B20 which matches my NC20 skin well. It also adapts to my skin when my fake tan is on so I have no need to purchase two shades which is great!

This foundation is a bit pricey (well it is Chanel!) but worth the cost in my opinion.  It is a lightweight foundation that gives me a light-medium coverage. Slightly more coverage than a tinted moisturiser. If you are looking for a heavy foundation then this definitely won't be for you. It evens out my skin tone well, but does not completely mask all imperfections (such as my thread veins). It does however, minimize them well. I can then apply some concealer to the areas that need a little bit more coverage and that does the trick.

It is a water based foundation which has a pleasant scent. I find that it is best applied with my fingers. It glides on easily, blends beautifully and the end result for me is a 'my skin but way better' look. It literally looks like a second skin. It also gives my skin a natural luminosity without a hint of shimmer in sight. I love this foundation....it's just gives such an amazing natural result, that lasts a full working day and beyond on my skin.

Here it is in action.......

  5. I haven't reached for my VA in a while, partially because I have it in B10, which is just too light for me now. I really love the finish it gives!

  6. You look always so gorgeous...! I can hardly see that you're wearing foundation. Just flawless, perfect skin. Very nice, maybe I'll give it a try (but with my skin I will probably never reach this result :()

But there is one question I asked myself several times when reading your posts: Do you photoshop your photos? I think yes but I'm not sure what in detail and how much. ;) You and your photos are always so perfect...

  7. @Jelice, Thank you! No I don't use photoshop (I don't have it). I add text to my photos etc, and occasionally make a collage, but that's it. x

  8. Your skin looks so beautiful!
I want it so bad, but the colours in the Chanel range are too yellow or too pink for me. Anyway I'm so curious about Vitalumiere Aqua that I'd like to try it, I think B40 would be good for me.
Just out of curiosity, my main concern is the pores on my cheeks, do you think that this foundation could cover or emphasize it? I need something not so heavy just for everyday use, I just want it doesn't emphasize my pores. :)
I read your Vitalumiere's review and it looks different on you from Vitalumiere Aqua, it seems having more light but it doesn't cover as well as Aqua does, even if this last is more coverage than a tinted moisturiser. Am I right? Anyway you look gorgeous with vitalumiere aqua.
I think I'll have to go try both as soon as possible. :D

  10. You have just reminded me about this, have been loving Clinique Moisture Surge TM and then yesterday noticed it wasn't giving quite as much coverage as I like in a couple of places, I had switched to the Clinique from Chanel for Summer and I have just realised I could touch up the areas that need a bit more than a TM with a dab of this, which I LOVE! thanks x

  11. I wear this daily and love it. The only thing I don't like about it is packaging.
