New CID i - perfection Colour Adjust Foundation

Here is the new i - perfection foundation from CID Cosmetics (£26.00, 30ml). This replaces CID's i - perfect foundation and is a lightweight fluid that adapts to your sin tone, giving a smooth satin finish. New CID have also extended their range of shades in the range, and there are now 9 shades to choose from:-


Nougat - suitable for very pale porcelain skin tones
Latte (new shade) - ideal fro pale yellow based skin tones
Vanilla - for medium, yellow based skin tones
Cinnamon - suitable for medium, pink based skin tones
Cappuccino (new shade) - great for tanned skin tones
Caramel - perfect for tanned skin tones
Toffee (new shade) - better suited to light Asian skin tones
Cocoa - for darker Asian skin tones
Mocha - Suitable for very dark skin tones







I have this in shade Latte, which I do feel adapts very well to my skin tone. I may even get away with the next shade darker to be honest.  As you can see in the picture above, foundation does really sheer out when buffed into the skin, so it's definitely a light to medium coverage.



It is a water based foundation, and the consistency reminds me quite a bit of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, and therefore should be great for all skin types. It is fragrance free and applies smoothly and evenly with either fingers or a foundation brush. I use a foundation brush and the buff it into the skin to achieve a nice natural finish. Once applied I find it sets quite quickly to a satin/matte finish. I usually much prefer a dewy finish to my foundation to be honest, but this is still nice nevertheless.



I just have to make sure though, that my skin is well exfoliated and moisturised before wearing water based foundations, as they have a tendency to settle and highlight any dry patches. Definitely not as forgiving to dry skin as an oil based foundation. I haven't had a problem with dry patches with this foundation though and I find the longevity is great...... lasts all day on my skin.



Feels amazingly light too, almost as if I'm not wearing any foundation........
