NYX Taupe Blush

Photobucket

Here is NYX Taupe blush which is my current contour powder.

It is a matte grey/brown shade with absolutely no orange/red tones that you get with a bronzer. Which therefore gives a much more realistic result. I apply this with my Mac 109 brush and it sculpts a natural looking shadow on my skin tone. It's very pigmented, so you only need to pick up a small amount on the brush, and then using a light hand, build up slowly to achieve a perfect result.

Here I am wearing the NYX Taupe.....

This is the best contour colour I have found to date. It's also multi-use, and doubles up as an eyeshadow which looks great in the crease. It can also be used to fill in eyebrows and has great staying power too. I highly recommend!

What is your favourite contour shade?

  1. I recently bought this too haven't yet tried it as a contour only as an eyeshadow but I have to agree it looks really lovely as a crease colour. It looks gorgeous with your skin tone!

  2. I have just made my first NYX purchase, 4 eye shadows and am really pleased with them, a blush was next on my list! I use MAC Tenderlin to contour as I am very very pale and it works a treat, I also use it in the crease when I want a neutral eye look. I have always struggled with blusher as my skin used to be very pink, this has now reduced due to a combination of great skin care and a good foundation but I still cant cope with adding colour to my complexion, just using Tenderling to contour works really well for me and adds some shape to my rather round face! This looks great on you, perfect tone for you skin.

  3. @Carla, You should try it as a contour, it's great x

@ihavemostlybeen, I also have an eyeshadow palette, I bought a while back which is really nice. I think I need to try some more NYX makeup as the quality is great for the price. x

  5. It looks great on you. I have this 'blush' too and I'm not sure if it entirely suits my warm skin tone. x
