Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean 4 in 1 Wash Off Cleansing Milk is a recent discovery for me. To be honest, I haven’t perused the Soap & Glory section in Boots for quite a while, so I didn’t realise there would be new products for me to try. I don’t know how new this is? As it seems I have been living under a rock, however, it is very new to me and a discovery that I’m delighted with!
Soap and Glory say
”Our special clogged T-zone formula Includes peach extract (with skin smoothing fruit acids), quillaja bark (a gentle natural ‘soap’), jojoba oil (an emollient skin softener), Detoxyboost™ technology (to help purify and deep clean) and Poreshrink R2™ (for a clearer, fresher, brighter complexion.”
The Detoxyboost technology and Poreshrink R2 makes me laugh! What the heck are these anyway? It did however, get me intrigued enough to try it especially as I love products containing fruit acids, which help loosen and remove dead skin cells.
I find one pump is enough to cleanse my face and neck. I apply this initially to dry skin massaging it in and then I rinse with warm water and a muslin cloth. I always repeat the process twice, but I apply the second time to damp skin. I find that I get a deeper cleanse this way. This has nothing to do with the product itself though, as it cleanses extremely well only applied once. However, I always cleanse my face twice whichever cleanser I’m using especially at night. The first cleanse removes any make up and then the second time gives a much deeper clean.
It has a really fresh scent and smells like peaches and mint. Think wild mint and not toothpaste mint here. It is a very strange and unlikely combination which I find rather appealing, and also weirdly addictive! It does an exceptional job of removing all traces of make up. I tend to use a separate eye make up remover though (obviously) prior to cleansing, and my skin feels thoroughly cleansed afterwards.
It does a wonderful job combined with my muslin cloth at keeping any flaky skin at bay, and makes my skin feel very soft and smooth. It gives a deep clean without ever feeling harsh, and has never in any way irritated my skin or dried it out. As for the Poreshrink R2, does any product actually shrink pores? I doubt it, but what I find it does do is help keep my pores clean and clear. I had some tiny blackheads on my nose prior to using this which have cleared up significantly.
What I love about it especially, aside from the gorgeous packaging of course, is just how easy it is to use. I can keep it by the sink and and with one pump…’bobs your uncle’, skin is given a thorough cleanse in less than a couple of minutes. There is no fuss and no mess. I was initially concerned that it was a bit overpriced, but not any more. It is definitely worth every penny and I won’t hesitate to repurchase this when it runs out. You get a a whopping 200ml of product too which is great value in my opinion, and should last quite a while.
